European Language School (ELS) - Buildings 204-208, 212-218, Soldier Field Area

The European Languages School (ELS) is responsible for conducting French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian Croatian, and Spanish (basic) language instruction to assigned military personnel from both the Cryptological Training System (CTS) and the General Intelligence Training System (GITS) of the four military services. We also teach languages to civilian students from the Department of Defense and from other U.S. government agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation. ELS conducts resident training for basic courses only, indicated below by their course code designator and length.  For Intermediate, Advanced, Sustainment, and Refresher courses see box at right.
