SENT TO ALL DLIAA MEMBERS ON 14 JUNE 2006
The Defense Language Institute is establishing a Hall of Fame to recognize
DLI alumni, faculty, staff, and others who have made a significant and lasting
contribution to language teaching or linguist management for the Defense Department.
The Hall will be dedicated in November 2006, as part of DLI's 65th Anniversary
celebrations. The DLI Alumni Association is participating in planning the
Hall, and will have a representative on the selection committee to help choose
who will be inducted.
We are now soliciting nominations of people who you think should be inducted
into the Hall of Fame. The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2006 (extended
to 18 August 2006). If you know of anyone who you think deserves this honor,
I invite you to send a nomination by following the instructions found at the
following link.
